There was a notice of eviction on the door of our brownstone
But the furniture was already removed prior to me crossing the threshold
My clothes placed neatly within the suitcase that we use to share
I told you that forever and always youd be mines
For your image is glued to my mind
And scent is impaled in to my olfactory nerve
So forgetting you would require me to no longer breath
You said to unravel me and I replied you belong to me
And we found an escape along orions belt
Maybe that’s why leaving is so hurt felt
And maybe our fragments will come together
In another lifetime
